Acheloou, and who stole: chain; spreads, three

deposition of those knowing of the theft and de-
nying it. I make a deposition of all who have recei-
ved the items contained in the writ.
You, mistress Hekate of the heavens, Hekate of the under-
world, Hekate of the crossroads, Hekate of the triple
face, Hekate of the single face, cut out the
heart(s) of those or of him who
stole the items mentioned
in the writ,
and let earth be not walkable for them, the sea not sailable,
let there be no enjoyment of life, no increase in children,
but may utter destruction visit them or him.

überstelle dem Pluton und den Moiren und der Persiphone
und den Erynien und allem Bösen; ich überstelle auch der Hekate
Theetophagos („Schwefelfresserin“?); ich überstelle auch den Göttinnen und Göttern unter
beiden
der Erde und dem Hermes Diakonos („Helfer“); ich überstelle die Diebe
aus dem kleinen Haus an der Straße genannt
Acheloos, die geraubt haben: die Kette, drei Decken
‒ eine aus Wolle, weiß, neu ‒, einen dreifüßgen Tiegel [[- - -
- - -]] aus Bronze, Hilfsmittel, weiße Erde, Leinenstoff
und drei weiße, Mastix, Pfeffer, neti (?). Ich über-
stelle auch die, die mitwissen um den Diebstahl und

Du aber, Herrin Hekate Urania, Hekate Ka-
tachthonia („Unterirdische“), Hekate Triodeitis („der Dreiwege“), Hekate Tripros-
popos („Dreigesichtig“), Hekate Monoprosopos („Eingesichtig“), schneide
die Herzen aus dem Dieben oder
dem Dieb der die in der Niederschrift
  aufgeführten Dinge,
und weder soll ihnen die Erde begehbar noch das Meer
befahrbar sein, weder Segen im Leben noch Gewinn
von Kindern, sondern Verderb und gänzlicher Verderb für sie oder ihn.
Wie ein Aufseher wirst du mit ihnen umgehen
und die Sichel aus Bronze wird sie absensen.
Nur nimm mich (davon) aus, der hinab-
geschrieben und Verderben gewünscht hat.
